Kailey Duncan
Coach, Women's Instructor
Brief info
Kailey Duncan is a co-owner of Duncan MMA, a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt, and the Head Women’s Jiu Jitsu Coach. She also serves as an assistant instructor in our Kids BJJ program, helping develop strong fundamentals, discipline, and confidence in young athletes. Kailey has been training for five years and is an active competitor representing Duncan MMA on a regular basis.
Kailey specializes in No Gi submission grappling and competes frequently at local Brazilian Jiu Jitsu events throughout East Tennessee. She also travels to larger tournaments, including ADCC Open events in neighboring states, continually testing and sharpening her skills against high-level competition. Her experience on the competition mats gives her coaching a practical edge — she understands timing, pressure, strategy, and the mental demands of performing under stress.
She began training after becoming a mom, originally stepping onto the mats as a way to share an activity with her children. What started as a family pursuit quickly grew into a personal passion for competition, technical growth, and the discipline that Jiu Jitsu builds. As a mother of eight whom she homeschools, Kailey understands the balance of family life and personal development, and she leads by example through consistency and hard work.
Kailey is especially passionate about women’s Jiu Jitsu and self-defense. She is committed to building a strong, supportive environment where women can train seriously, develop real skill, and grow in confidence. Whether coaching competitors or beginners, her focus remains the same — helping every student become stronger, more capable, and more confident through disciplined training.
